English Founder, Leader and Director of Birmingham Perl Mongers, a CPAN Author, a professional lighting engineer and general roadie, a father of 2 and a player of games. Began coding Perl in 1999, using it for a variety of applications. Currently promotes CPAN Testers and works on the supporting toolchain to provide the statistics and help for testers. A speaker at several international technical conferences and workshops, together with presentations to numerous Perl and Linux user groups.
Employed as a QA Automation Specialist by MessageLabs, and gets paid to write Perl test suites. Currently working on performance and regression test suites for their anti-malware software.
Was an organiser for the 2006 YAPC::Europe Perl Conference in Birmingham, UK, and now a member of the YAPC::Europe Foundation Venue Committee. | |
