This is intended as an introductory talk about using Perl embedded in Nginx. Nginx (nginx.(net|ru)) is a high-performance free HTTP proxy/server which just starts to show up in Netcraft reports. Nginx is happily used by more than a million websites all over the world. The now common HTTP setup of lightning-fast frontend and feature-rich backend fits it nicely and directly threatens Apache dominance.
